It’s no wonder, after all, the production comes from mobile devices and in my opinion it should not leave them in this form. Even if we take into account the lower price set at PLN 42. On review aggregator Metacritic, Stereo Aereo has a score of 58. In terms of performance, the production works better as an application for smartphones than a full-fledged console game. In the world, after just one hour of fun, it turns out that we have nothing to do, even if we focus on breaking our own records or having fun in endless survival mode. Still, the gameplay lacks depth and can become weary after a very short time. Sometimes the gameplay also slightly changes in the style of shoot ’em ups or endless runner-style platformers. It is quite effective and can even surprise you the first time. The camera escapes from the vehicle or sets it to the side. The locations themselves have a unique design, and at the end of the chapter there is a sharp change of perspective. Everything, however, is identical to each other and usually differs only in the pace of the action.

There are only eight different stages waiting for users – several difficulty levels, survival mode and free riding, where we collect points. The whole thing is very economical in terms of content. It’s good that the game responds quickly to commands, and in the options we get a special slider that allows you to adjust the input lag resulting from music delays.

We are talking about very strange situations, where, for example, there are moments when we leave the tunnel blinded by a beam of light and if we were not immediately positioned on the correct rail, then an automatic crack occurs – there is no time for a correct reaction. It is uniform and does not rise smoothly, and sometimes it just punishes the player unfairly. The problem is that it has been balanced in the wrong way. I am ready to consider the level of the challenge as a plus, because it motivates us to improve our game and is a factor that keeps us having fun. Flashy colors and ubiquitous neon lights create a great atmosphere … but despite the simplicity of the game, the title is mercilessly difficult.
The whole thing looks like an animated visualization of an album saturated with music from synthesizers. Especially that the soundtrack and the appearance itself are very pleasing to the eye. A primitive idea, but it can play for a while. All the fun comes down to avoiding obstacles to the rhythm of the background music. Neon Drive is a 1980s-styled rhythm game in which we sit behind the wheel of a car and use two buttons to change the rail on which our vehicle is located. Does smartphone gameplay have a chance to defend itself on a stationary console?
